About Nagoya Live Cameras

Nagoya is Japan's fourth-largest city and the industrial capital of the country, yet it is routinely skipped by visitors travelling between Tokyo and Kyoto. Our cameras show what that overlooked city actually looks like hour by hour: the tower district around Nagoya Station, the parks and arcades of Sakae, and the expressways and airfields that keep the region's manufacturing economy moving.

The nine Nagoya streams cover a deliberate spread. Three watch Nagoya Station itself from different vantage points, including a broadcaster's elevated view of the Meieki skyline. Others take in Hisaya-odori Park in the city centre, the redeveloped Sasashima Live district, an ordinary ward office in the western suburbs, a junction on the Nagoya Expressway, and Nagoya Airport at Komaki, where Fuji Dream Airlines is based.

All streams are free and run 24 hours a day. Use them to judge the weather across the Nobi Plain, check traffic before driving through the city, watch aircraft at Komaki, or simply keep an eye on a Japanese city that most travel guides pass over.
